Louise Cameron DO, BSc(Hons), qualified at the British School of Osteopathy (London), in 1985. After graduating she established her own practice in Corby, Market Harborough and Oundle, as well as teaching at the British School of Osteopathy for over six years in the 1980's and 1990's. Louise worked for nearly 20 years in the Corby area working from home and Woodsend Medical Centre, this was her main practice but she also had a busy clinics in Market Harborough and Oundle.
Louise's role whilst she was teaching at the British School of Osteopathy (BSO) Louise was as a Senior Clinic Tutor, Demonstration Clinic Tutor, plus co-ran the BSO Childrens clinic. This was the first dedicated children's clinic of its kind and Louise was able to pass on and demonstrate the benefits of Osteopathic treatment (Cranial Osteopathy) on babies and children to may students.
Louise moved to Wymington near Rushden in 2006. With over 30 years experience Louise sees patients in a purpose built treatment room adjacent to her home. For three years Louise was registered with The Association of Osteomyologists as she found the post graduate training that the Association offered has extended her approach to patient care. Treating the root of the problem and not just the symptoms.
Now Louise serves the North Bedfordshire area as well as the area around Rushden but patients have traveled globally to see her!
Louise has continued to do additional training (CPD) since graduating. More recently this has included some of the following courses;
- Several Sutherland Cranial Osteopathy courses at the BSO
- Medical Acupuncture Course at the Royal Homeopathic Hospital
- The Re-validation Course with the Osteomyologists over 3 year period
- Clinical First Aid
- Patient Communication & Consent
- Pain and Pharmacology
